Wonderful Christmas Day

Today we celebrated Christmas... It may have been a week late, but it was on time as far as I am concerned and I am sure Jesus was happy that we celebrated His birth and that He was a part of the good times... Jessica and JJ made Jesus' birthday cake and it turned out perfect.

Jessica, Jason and JJ were the first to show up. I don't think Jason was too impressed with driving in the snow. He can chalk it up to experience I guess.
We gave our dogs their Christmas stockings filled with many toys and goodies. My dogs know what a Christmas stocking is, lol and they know it means food and fun.

Everyone started to arrive shortly after that and we had Jason and Jason doing the handing out of gifts... There was no floor after all was said and done... It was a pretty nice day, but I think the greatest blessing was when Jason Barton and I had a talk in the kitchen and he told me that he is changing his life and that he asked Christ into his life and wants to do what is right... As a mother to his wife and knowing that he has the love for Christ that we all need and should have and with it being a celebration of Christs birth... I can say that it overwhelmed me and I was and am very proud of him for making that decision. And I can tell it wasn't just words to him... There was something different about him and I am so happy to see that peace that can only come from Christ and a real desire to have a relationship with Christ... How many people can say that the greatest gift is to hear someone declare on Christmas day that they turned their life over to Christ?

JJ and Daddy (Jason Ross)
It was also nice to spend this Christmas with my sister. It has been many many years since doing that. It would be so awesome to one day have all my family together without the arguing and enjoying the company, but for this year I had my daughters Jessica and Beckiah, with their families and my grandsons... I had my niece Bridgette, my brother in law Craig who is more like a best friend and I had my husband Chuck. Of course I had my dogs too...

I got some great pictures of the family and will post a few on here... I have too many, so will see what I want to add or not add...

Now to the New Year... I pray that each and everyone of you have a wonderful and blessed New Years... To me it isn't important if you make resolutions or the changing of the date. It's about celebrating each day as if it is and it really is a new day... Make that day and year important and do something for someone else...

I would like to add a prayer and only God knows what that prayer is really about... But I would like to have anyone pray simply that people will learn to appreciate those around them no matter what they do, what they eat, how they don't measure of to their idea of perfection.

Its been a couple days

I haven't come on here for a couple of days. But here I am, in full color, lol. Well, not really color, but I am here.

Most of the weekend Chuck and I did quiet things. Every now and then that is a good thing. We were driving on the Blvd and noticed a sale at Aarons Rent to Own, and we bought us a TV. It is a rental return, but we got it for a killer deal. It is a 70" HDTV and has all kinds of bells and whistles. One little draw back though is the size. It is way big and takes up most of my wall that our old big screen was on. It is taller then I am too. Not sure why it is good to have this much TV. But like I said, it was a good deal. Our other one went out on us, so Chuck and I decided to go for this since it was on clearance. So it is a gift for both of us for Christmas. Although I think it is more for him, then me, lol.

Other then that, this weekend we had Beckiah, Jason and the boys over for a belated Thanksgiving dinner. We didn't have Turkey. I guess I was just thinking that Christmas is around the corner, so why mess with it. But it was nice getting together with everyone. I hope everyone else had a nice weekend.

Back Home- YEAH

I just pulled in not so long ago, right around 9pm or so. I left Phx this morning around 10 am. What a trip it was though. God had to have been with us on this one.

Let me first start off with yesterday;

I leave Elfrida Az around 2 pm. We went to Willcox Az to say bye to Bridgettes brothers and then was heading to Phx. But as I was pulling out of my parents driveway, my van wouldn't start. Yeppers, that is right. No power what so ever... Dead as a door nail. It was odd though. About an hour before, I started the van, NO PROBLEMO at all. But it was not going to be that way at all.

Dad jump starts my van and I call Chuck to tell him what is going on. He said it will be fine because the alternator will charge the battery. But my thought was with the reasoning behind it not working. But I get to Willcox and we drive up to Monicas house. She is my brothers ex wife and Bridgettes Aunt. I turn off the van, and guess what? NO power again. It died again. Ughhhhhhhhhhh, was I bit stressed or what. We pop open the hood and find a crack in the battery. So I call Chuck and he gets the location for a Auto Zone in Willcox and $90.00 later, I am on the road again. I am headed to Phx with a new battery I didn't want to spend money on. But it was good that someone was home and in town to help us... Thank you God for that one.

Then this morning... I am at a friends house. We spent the night in Phx and I was suppose to meet this lady named Lynne. She is a boxer dog foster mom like I am. I was/did bring a boxer up here to find a special forever home for her. Her name is Bonnie, but we nicknamed her Nellie since she gets nervouse all the time, lol. Very sweet, but underweight. Ok, now back to my story. I am getting ready to leave my friends house, and low and behold, a flat tire. Ughhhhhhhh again. I went to the gas station to put gas in and air and find out that the tire didn't want to hold air. But it did for a short time and I figured I would stop off in Wickenburg to get a new tire. But fate stepped in and no places were open because it is Sunday... Normally I would think that is good, but not today. So I filled the tire again and watched it. I was prepared to have to have a friend that went with us change it if it needed it. But what happened is that we got back to Utah, put air in every now and then and no changed tire. I know that God had to have been the one in control this week. I drove almost 500 miles with a tire that was having issues. I am glad that God knew what to do to make sure the air was in there for the safe trip home. So now Chuck can change it in the morning when he wakes up and sees it is flat.

We are home now and I am washing my pillows and going to take a shower and get a good nights sleep I am hopeing and have Chuck rub my back... I am sure he will know he will have to do that, lol.

I am going to close on this for now, and you all have a good night and sweet dreams...

Craig Cheats :)

Today was fairly calm... We woke up to go to church and then on the way on I stopped and got stuff to make homemade lasgnana. I can't stand frozen. I think it is because I don't like recotta cheese. But we got home, Chuck was trying to rush me out of the store. He was reminding me that I needed to hurry up because Bridgette had to be at work at 3pm. Well, little did either one of them think that we had set our clocks back. So we gained an hour. So Bridgette was at work an hour early... Thats what they get for trying to rush me, lol.

But after Chuck got home from taking Bridgette to work, we played Skip Bo... I must say that Craig cheated, lol. I don't know how. But I didn't win one game, lol. He skiunked us both. But seriously, he didn't cheat, but it is just wrong that I didn't win at all :). After I lost royally, we watched Extrmeme Home Makeover. We really enjoy that show. It would be awesome to have a house built by them. Craig keeps telling me that he should put me in for it, lol. I told him that I don't think I am that good. Most of the people selected for this are really good and deserving people. I am just average, like anyone else.

But other then that, I am going to take a shower and try to get some sleep. I hope you all have a good night and God Bless.
