The Worse In Me- And JJ

Well, I didn't go to church today... Seems like it has been a few weeks or at least a couple weeks... I am sure Satan is having a heyday over this whole thing... But it seems to never fail that I am not feeling good and it seems like alot of that is happening lately... Not sure if it is because I haven't gone to my Dr's. Haven't taken any of my meds or just the combination of whole bunch of things... There are times I just want to say "Ok, God now is the day"... Then I recant my thinking on that one... So I am in my room and putting this on my blog and I know Satan is smirking and thinking he is winning at his nasty deeds and deception... I really should have gone to church today and I wanted to listen to the sermon about what the benefits of death are... Kinda morbid, but I guess it all depends on where you are at in your relationship with Christ, or aleast thats my thinking... I guess I will have to get the CD and listen to it...

P.S. I post this blog and if anyone has noticed I have songs on my blog that shuffle at random... The song that radomly comes up is On Top of the World by the Carpenters... Or Geeze

JJ had his birthday party yesterday and he is 3 yrs old now... He is growing up very fast... I remember when he was first born... I am sure his parents do as well, lol. But I was in the room and was that a special and yet stressful time... He has grown into a great young man... JJ had a tour of the fire station, and some of the kids got to dress up... We don't celebrate Halloween, so this was a good chance for JJ to get dressed up as a fireman... He loved that. He got lots of presents from many people, too many to list and his big present was a Spiderman Bike with the safety gear from his mommy and daddy... I hope you have a great 100 more years JJ.... Pictures from his party is below...

Some Rambling Thoughts

This blog will be about a couple things. I have just been thinking about a few things. So going to post them all here, or atleast some of them.

1. The most important reason for this post is for prayers for some missionaries that our church supports.

Craig and Allison Fowler and their children are Missionaries in Ethiopia and have been coming across some spiritual warfare and your prayers are needed. Here in the states we don't get the kind of opposition they get in other countries. There are some wonderful praise reports coming from the Fowlers though. They are telling stories to the gumuz people. God has been working in their lives and things are going great. But like I said,at the same time Satan is working on them. So please keep them in your prayers. During our Mission Moment they stated the types of opposition, but I can't remember what it was. Either way, it is Satan being his normal bad self and they need to have protection and prayers.

2. I have some people that have been wondering how I have been doing. I have been really tired. More so then normally, but I am ok for the most part. Although some won't agree with me on that. I think mainly I am just way tired and the summer heat is getting to me more then usual. I am chugging along and doing what needs to be done. I don't really post medical things too much on my blogs though since it is so complicated and gets people worried. Plus you never know who comes and reads the blogs, so I am a bit careful on what I post on here. But as of now, I am hanging in, just tired.

3. It really ticks me off when I read or listen to the news and so many people are hurting their own kids of families. People have no contious. Not all people, but the ones that are doing these things have to be of Satan himself.

4. I am sooooooooo looking forward to the Second Coming of Christ. I pray that all people who have heard about Christ, has accepted Christ before it is too late. I can only imagine what it is going to be like when Christ comes again or what heaven will be like. Just think about the peace that there will be there and to worship with Christ Himself. That will be an awesome day. I do worry about those that I love and care about and if they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are told that there will be no pain or suffering in heaven. When I think of this, I wonder if we will have the memories of those that we love that won't be there. Will their memories be wiped from our minds. It would seem that it would be way sad if we remembered them and loved and they weren't where we were. I think in this months newsletter I will post the question about this. I have wondered this many times. Usually others post questions, but I think I will add one of my own on this one.

Ok, ow I am done for now. So I will go and as I feel better, I will post more. Even though I think I will add a video of my dogs on here.

God Bless and have a good day

Ok... Here is my Views on Halloween?

I am sure that those who know me knows that I am not a person that thinks Christians or anyone should celebrate Halloween. I have many reasons for this and I will state a few of them here. But remember these are my views. Is it possible for Christians to celebrate Halloween without compromising their faith? I would like to hear yours as well.

1. For me there is no way I would celebrate Halloween. Some time back I opened doors that I never should have by playing with a Ouija board. OK, that was scary. But it showed me how much power Satan has and that he can use what some would think of as a game as a way to entice people. Halloween is considered fun by most and innocent. Many parents will say, I don't dress my kids up scary, it is clean fun... Hmmmm. I use to celebrate it and even have parties, but no more.

2. The origin of Halloween is Pagan. Halloween, no matter how commercialized, has almost completely pagan origins. As innocent as it may seem to some, it is not something to be taken lightly. I don't judge those that choose too go out trick or treating with their kids, but it is a choice I have made not to take part in these activities.

3. With all the dangers out there, it is like asking for trouble when sending your kids door to door to get candy. Not everyone is going to give them candy to be nice. Every year we hear about how parents find razor blades and poison and all kinds of things and not to even think about child predators. The area where I work at, is probably the highest in predators in our town. There is no way I would send my child out there.

4. Harvest Festivals... I'm not sure what I think on this. But I guess if a parent wants to do something, this might be the lesser of the activities. Alot of churches will put on a harvest festival to give kids and parents something clean and dress up in nice costumes for the night. But I myself wonder if this is just a way of validating our need to take part. I'm not sure on this one. I guess each parent has to choose what is best...

5. There have been times and I don't think I wouldn't do it again. But I have gotten tracts and put candy on them. I figure this may be the one time parents and kids come to my house for something. I would leave a note on my door that states that each child will be prayed for and that may God protect them on this night. So I have done this in the past, and may again. Not sure...

But, I am not a person that believes we should be celebrating this night that is meant to be pagan. This is a night that those who worship Satan look forward too. This is their night. I have friends that are Wicca amongst other things that love this night. When I hear why they are excited, it makes my skin crawl. They wonder why it is that those who don't worship Satan or witches would want to take part in these festivities... I wonder that myself. They take claim to this night and I pray that all of those who choose to go out, that God may protect and guide them.

I also pray for my grandsons, my daughter takes them out, and every time they talk about Halloween, it just makes me want to scream... I know they are believers in Christ... When the kids get so excited, it makes my heart sink that they think so much of this... I did take my kids out, and now that I know the origin of it, I often think knowledge isn't always a good thing. It makes us responsible for what we have been taught...

Quoted from - Christian Answers.net Halloween has strong roots in paganism and is closely connected with worship of the Enemy of this world, Satan. It is a holiday that generally glorifies the dark things of this world, rather than the light of Jesus Christ, The Truth

Also, we need to teach our children that "the fight isn't against occultists, non-Christians, Christians who feel differently than we about Halloween, or institutions that promote Halloween, but" "against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12, NKJV).
