Danny Gokey Was Sent Home :(

I am sitting here watching American Idol Extra and had to agree with what Simon told Danny. He should not have been the one sent home and he has a lot of talent. He told him that he should have been in the top two. I am not happy that Danny got sent home tonight. When Danny sang the song "You Are So Beautiful", you can feel the love he has for his wife. You can feel what he is feeling when he sings. Paula was really upset as well. But at the same time... It won't surprise me if Danny gets a deal. He is awesome and sings the kind of music I would buy. I am hoping he will put out a CD that is in the gospel line.

Last week Danny hit a bad note, but that shouldn't have been enough to get him booted. BUT, in my personal thoughts, they are all winners in their own rights.

I wasn't too impressed with parts of the show tonight though. Not sure on the whole Katy Perry thing. I guess I remember her from when she recorded under the name of Katy Hudson and she sang Christian music. I didn't like her outfit at all. Now granted she is an entertainer... But what was up with that outfit she was wearing. I was waiting for Adam Lambert to join her in song. They are both out there in someone else's planet or something.

I guess if I am going to vote next week, which I'm not sure on. I will be voting for Kris. He has a sweetness about him... Out of the two left, he is the one I would maybe buy his music. But, gee whiz, I can't believe Danny is going home. I think he is gonna do great in his future... I am hoping one day when I turn on KLOVE, I will hear his music along with Mandisa.

Danny said he said now he can finally be me and let his guard down. he was saying how ten months ago he felt he had no hope. He was standing beside his wife's casket and wanted to give up. Now feels that he has hope and that you are stronger then you really are. You have to put your guard up and felt he needed to put on this front. And now it is down and I want to freely talk about this and how if he can do it , anyone else can.

What a powerful message that is for us all. I am sure that many times we felt that we wanted to give up and he has shown that life can go on and that when we have no hope, we can go on and that there is a future and that things will get better and we can become stronger. Danny is a worship leader at his church and what a difference it makes when you know the Lord and that He is with you even in the darkest moments and times in your life.

David Osmond Was Sent Home :(

It just isn't right. David Osmond was eliminated from American Idol. That just isn't right. But on a good note: Taylor from here in Southern Utah. Thats pretty awesome. She did really good tonight and her whole group was put through. So next week, we find out who is going to be the top 36, then the top 24.
I was soooo glad that the bikini girl was sent home. She was horrible and thought she was all that. Just because she thought she looked good in a bathing suit, doesn't mean she can sing. kara called her a bad word tonight and she was ridiculous.

I am all ready for the new season to kick off and then I can dial idol, whoo hooo. I am an Idol junkie big time. I think I may have to schedule my Golds Gym time around Idol. Still thinking on that.

American Idol and Other Stuff

Ugh, last night was the first night for American Idol to be in Hollywood. I will be watching it tonight. But missed what happened last night. I was at Golds Gym in the pool. Boy oh boy, they need to have a TV in that area for times like this, lol. Tonight I'm not going to go. So I can watch AI tonight. I am wondering how the local girl Taylor is doing and if she made it through last night and if David Osmond made it through.

I was pretty happy last night too when I went to check out our local newspaper online (The Spectrum). I seen on the page that my restaurant review blog is on there. So that was pretty cool. I don't like my picture on there. But can't do much about that. Other then these things, not much is going on. Just kinda taking it easy today and doing nothing till I have to take my niece to work tonight and then going to get ready for AI...

American Idol- Whooo Hooo

I am so looking forward to this years season. There are a few people that I like. Of course I will go for the local girl from Hurricane, Utah "Taylor Vaifanuna". That will be pretty awesome. She is only 16 and is 5'11". She sings really good too.

And how can you not love David Osmond? When I think about him. I think I will have to keep in mind that he is Donny Osmond's nephew. You see, Donny Osmond was who I had a crush on when I was a teenager. That should tell you how old I am. I had his poster on my ceiling above my bed. I also had David Cassidy, Scott Baio, Parker Stevenson and Lief Garret. Wow, do I feel old. I have a feeling I am going to have to not mention his last name when I call in his number... And oh boy, would that be terrible if he didn't make it past Hollywood Week. Ughhhh, I can't even think on that one.

There are a few others that I really liked.

My Top List:

1. David Osmond
2. Taylor Vaifanuna
3. Scott McIntire (sings like an angel)
4. Deanna (sang Sitting by the Dock of the Bay)
5. Leneshe Young(She wrote her own Song)
6. Not sure of the Name- But the guy that sang My Way from Puerto Rico
7. Stevie Wright (Named after Stevie Nicks)

There are a few others that I like, but they obviously didn't stick in my brain. So I guess I will have to wait for Hollywood Week to give me the names.

Just Watched American Idol in Kentucky

I just don't get it when people try out for American Idol and they think they can sing. You would think someone would be honest with them to save them from being embarrassed.

There was one girl that stood out to me tonight and that was Latisha, I think that was her name. But she is 18 and she sang and wrote her own song. It was cute and she had a cuteness about her. I am ready for Hollywood Week to begin. I think it starts in a couple weeks. I hope atleast. I'm ready for things to move on.

The weirdest moment for me was the guy that is this brainy guy that was thirsty and he went over and drank out of Paula's drink, what is up with that?

Last nights show was pretty OK. There wasn't anyone that stood out to me.

Last nights weirdest moment was that girl that laughed like a hyena. Oh my goodness. Not sure why they passed her through. I guess they have to let some through that isn't that talented so it makes for good entertainment.

I was telling my niece Bridgette that I should try out for American Idol. She was mean and so was Jessica. They don't think I can sing very good. lol. But I will let you in on a secret... I am a horrible singer. I didn't use to be, but when I first came down with Guillian Barre Syndrome that all changed. Although I try to convince Jessica it was her fault, lol. I told her when she was born, my voice changed. lol. But that isn't true. Although my patience went out the door a bit... Well alot of a bit I guess.

Something to Make You Laugh...

My brother in law sent me this and wanted to share it with you all...

You may have seen this before, but if it makes you smile, it's worth seeing again...

Only in America .....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in America.....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Only in America.....do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Only in America.....do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Only in America.....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

EVER WONDER ...

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens

our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?

Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even a chuckle)...in other words, send it to everyone. We all need to smile every once in a while.

I am SICK of SPRINT

I am SICK of SPRINT...

Today I go to make a phone call from my cell phone... Guess what! I get a recording that says I am not authorized to make the call. I call them to find out what is going on. They tell me that my nieces cell phone, which is under my account, has internet fees on there and that I have to pay that amount.... Ughhhhhhh. I can't totally blame her though. When we went to get her new phone, and sign the contract, they told us that the plan was unlimited texting and only 450 minutes. She texts more then anything. So people send her pictures and stuff and now the fee is horrible. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't need my phone for business and dr stuff. I should have listened to my brother in law Craig when he said I should get rid of Sprint.... So now I am just ticked off at them.

There was one positive for today. American Idol was on tonight. SO that made life better. But I couldn't call anyone to get their feedback as I was laughing at the auditions. They were funny and sad and good talent.

AMERICAN IDOL IS BACK- SEASON 8

I have been waiting and waiting for this.... So here is my take on what happened tonight and who I liked and not liked.

Liked:

Scott McIntyre, he is the guy that was blind. I thought he was great. And what I thought was good is that he can hear how he sounds and not like some that audition.

Liked the Girl with the tattoos from Phoenix. She was really good. I don't think she was my style, but I liked her.

Also liked the girl that is 16 that works with senior citizens. I was surprised by her voice.

I also liked that girl named Stevie. I don't think she would get far, but she was OK.

Disliked:

The girl that was Kara's favorite fan. She is a tad bit obsessive.. Don't need another weird scenario like what happened to Paula.

The girl in the bathing suit. What is up with that. I think that she just got on there as a joke.

I felt bad for the guy that could only talk in base. What is up with that. But someone should have told him he can't sing. He seemed nice enough.

So this is Sandie's recap of night one of auditions for American Idol. So lets see what tomorrow night brings.
