Just too Blasted Hot...

I can see how it would be possible to get heat stroke in the middle of the desert... I was out walking around in Snow Canyon and thinking and taking pictures... And it is hotter than blazes out there... I should have been smarter than I was and waited till this evening to go out there when there was atleast a breeze...

Note to Self:

1. Bring Water
2. Make sure cell phone has a signal
3. Stay close to the car... It's a long way back if your tired... Just trust me on this one...
4. Make sure to let someone know where you are
5. Don't try this alone... Bring someone with you
6. Don't dress in warm cloths... That is a no no...

I should have brought water with me... This one guy stopped me and asked me if I had water with me... What I found was funny is that he didn't have water either from what I seen... Maybe he needed some and thought I had some in my back pocket... I think I feel worse now than when I began... I have a horrible headache, nauseated, not really hot, but more of a chill... I know that's kinda weird, but it is what it is... I do have some color on my face now... It is way red... I could tell that I haven't been drinking alot since I didn't really sweat alot... Which is strange... I would think if you are on a walk about in 100 plus temps in the middle of the desert, you would sweat... Hmmm... Maybe it is just a me thing...

If anyone who reads this blog got a call from me, my phone was going in and out of signal and it was just random dialing... Not sure why that was, but it did... So if you got a call, just ignore...

Two places that I was thinking on and contemplating... I think it is a very pretty place... Just writing this down for my future reference... I am thinking I should go to Pine Valley in the next week or so... So if anyone is up for a drive that will not stress out my life, let me know... If not, I have no problem going myself...

I just posted a couple pictures below... What is weird about the bottom one (choice 2) is that there is this really odd feeling I get when I go there... It's like something pulls me into that spot and not sure if it is a good or bad thing... The feeling I get is that it is not a good thing at all... But its hard to explain that unless others have had that same feeling... It's like you know that something bad is there or has gone on there or intended to go on there... Hmmmm, but there is something... But at the same time it is really pretty and there is something that is, hmm  how to put this... I guess intriguing and final about it... I know that's weird, but its the only way I can explain it...

Choice 1- This is the Place :) Petrified Dunes

Choice 2 of This is the Place :)

When I was talking to you the other day and you said you wanted to figure out something by going there. I was curious if you did and you found the right place for you? You know what I am talking about. Even though I don't agree, I respect that decision as a friend. From reading your blog and listening to what you were saying and how today was, I am sure you got your answer to the questions you were asking. I hope you rethink things though. I love you my friend, I understand, but hate to see where this may lead.

I forgot to add-yes bringing no water in over 100 degree weather will kill a person. You should never go out there by yourself when you have no fluids in your body and have problems breathing along with muscle issues. Be careful and don't take too many chances. We want you around as long as possible.

Hi Sandie, this is Laura. I am checking in to see how you are and to wish you a happy birthday. I love your pics, but knowing the reason for the pics have me wondering. I will take a step back, however as you know I care. I would go with you to Pine Valley for your walk or journey of thinking and getting one on one. I don't think that my input would be of much help since you understand where I come from. I diffinantly think Pine Valley is a better and safer choice for you to go to if you know what I am meaning. Call me if you want to talk and have a nice birthday.

Hi there... Yeah, I should have brought water... But I am ok and I have to admit that there is alot of my agenda and I should think a bit more :)

Hi Laura... Thanks for the birthday wish... I have no problem if someone wants to drive with up to Pine Valley, but that is a ways from town and alot to ask of someone... Especially with the gas prices like they are... It's been a year now since going there so I think it's time and I think it would be good to get two different perspectives... I know you know what I mean and I can understand your feelings too... I don't think it would be good to have the friend that I went over to, to go with, she is a very busy person and that could be a half day adventure... I think she has too much on her plate for taking that kind of time... The good thing about there is that the weather is cooler and there are all kinds of life there... I will call you tomorrow or you can call me... I will have my cell on...

Sandie, this is Laura again. I would ask her or another friend. Maybe someone that is good at listening and just being there. I would be happy, but I know what your thoughts are and don't feel I can be biased. You have many that love and care about you. You can pray about it too and ask God who should go with you. I don't think it is smart to go to places like this alone. People have fallen off mountains and cliffs. Some are never found or if they are found, they are doing a search and recovery. Be smart!
