RIP Mattie

Mattie went to be with Jesus on December 13th, 2010
This morning we had to put Mattie to sleep... I felt so bad for her, but understand it is the best for her... About 6 months or so ago, she started loosing weight and was having convulsions. Over the past month we have had to feed her by spoon since her teeth were so bad and she had problems eating regular dog food. I will miss my Mattie, but at the same time you can't let her suffer like she was... She would stand up and than collapsed at times and was throwing up alot...

On the way home today, JJ said something out of the blue that seemed to make it all right.... He said that Jesus made Mattie feel better... We didn't tell him what was going on and that she was going to go be with Jesus... I believe 100% that dogs are in heaven... I think God knew I needed to know she was OK and that she is with Him now and that she isn't in any pain...

Mattie loved to play in the snow with her brother Maverick
Mattie came into our lives on April 30th, 2007 and will forever remain in our lives and I will always love her... Mattie had a very kind and loving heart.... She loved to cuddle even though she had the worst doggie breath... I think Mattie's job was to love people unconditionally and never expected anything in return but a hug and kiss... She loved it when she would get to lay in my arms or sit next to me and have her side rubbed.... Mattie also had selective hearing... If she wanted to go drink out of the fish pond, she would ignore you when you would tell her to get out of the pond...
Mattie was very sweet and was scared of the water and loud noises... I think her previous owner must have hurt her or something... We rescued her from Almost Home Boxer Rescue in Arizona... Thanks to groups like Almost Home Boxer Rescue for putting Mattie in our lives and home... Our home was her forever home and now she is forever home with Jesus.

Here is a video of Mattie

Love you Mattie and may you have happy times with Jesus... And tell Brandie Muffins hi for me...

Rest in peace my sweet Mattie. I will miss you and your constant love of sitting on my feet. Have fun playing with Brandie Muffins and Mickey up in the endless land of love. We love you.

She will be missed... She had a few quirky things... But for the most part she was so sweet and loving...

Mattie came in 2006 since I brought her up from Arizona. She was a good dog & loved getting the attention. But she shouldn't have to suffer & is in a better place now.

I was thinking that Craig, but for some reason second guessed myself... And I agree... She is in a much better place now...
