Women Of Faith and Christmas Deals

My Mother in Law Marjorie
This is a new week and the first week in 2011...I got to hit some pretty good sales today and I love a good bargain. So off to get a few Christmas Gifts/Birthday gifts in anticipation of all that this year will bring. I love it when I can get Christmas Cards for only 50 cents a box... Whoo Hoo.  I was thinking about a couple of the gifts that I picked up. I got these shirts at Kmart for like $2.00 or less. But the last time I did that for my sister in law Carol and my Mother in Law (Mom), they both died two weeks apart. So I decided I would give my finds early to my sister, so then she won't pass away on me... Not willing to take any chances, if you know what I mean...

I am getting Mandisa's Autograph
I also got a pretty cool call from Dawn at Women of Faith today. She was seeing how things were going with getting everything together for the Las Vegas Conference in April...I told her that I am working with Lynda Parker and how awesome it is going to be...  I have to tell you all, that I am way way excited about this. My favorite Christian singer "Mandisa", is going to be there and so is Amy Grant.  I love Amy, but I am so excited to see Mandisa again. Last year a very dear friend Chris helped me meet Mandisa and I am so thankful for this meeting... In case you read this Chris- THANKS :) Still a happy moment. This conference if for ladies only and will include 2 lunches for the 29th and 30th. I am hoping my health stays ok since things go on a day to day basis. But that won't stop me even if I am having a bad day with the Myasthenia... It will happen... But this Saturday at Quiznos we will be setting up a booth and will be giving out information, giving away some tickets and also registering people for this out of the world event... Really I consider it more than an event, its a life changing weekend. It's one of those times you can spend with thousands of other ladies and let your guard down and let Christ speak to you one on one...

Sandy Patti
This year Sandy Patti will be there... I seen her a couple of conferences ago and she brought this young lady named Lisa with her. Lisa had Down Syndrome and out of all the people in the room, this little girl that was sitting in the audience was signing with her friends and group... I couldn't help but feel the true joy that came from this girl and she showed everyone that was there that day how unconditional joy and peace can be... I don't know if this girl travels with Sandy Patti or not, but I am hoping she will be there. There are going to be many more speakers there during this weekend, but I am looking forward to these the most... I am so ready for April to be here in that sense... The only bad thing is that April is awful close to summer- eeegads

Other than that, today was pretty uneventful for the most part. I conquered the icy roads headed up to Veyo and faught with my dogs who decided they didn't like to go outside to go potty since they slide all over the place on the ice... Not funny, but is funny at the same time...

Yeah. Grammy was a very sweet lady. I remember the day this pic was taken and for her 88th bday. She was so stunned we thought she was gonna pass out or something... Everyone was worried about shocking her too bad... She loved the party and loved you as well... Nobody is like mom
