Wonder how I can sum up my Sunday? I guess I would have to say that it was very low keyed. I wanted to accomplish more and go out and meet and greet our new horses... Yep! We have added to the clan or pack I should say.
Three new horses showed up at our house yesterday, one being ours. Our friends needed to find a place to board them at and we have plenty of room, so all is well with that. The horse that is ours is named Scout and he has been scouting out Ricky our bull. I don't think Ricky knows what to make of the whole situation. He is use to being alone and then all the sudden there are three room mates for him to handle and they don't even speak the same language. I guess it would be something like a foreign student exchange, lol... Now we have the Moo-Nays here,lol...
Other than that nothing has really gone on today... I haven't been feeling good so I have been in bed most of the day. I overdid a bit yesterday, even though according to many peoples standards I didn't do much, but according to mine, it was a long day, but a good day. I was going to go to church till I woke up and my body said, "Oh No You Don't"... Then my husband said 'Oh Yes You Do"! Husband won out over the body because I had to take him into town and drop him off at the yard so he could head to Long Beach again...
I came home and played on facebook awhile and then was all geared up to take a long 4 hour nap and then the dogs decided to change that to a 2 hour nap. That's ok, I guess, this way I will sleep tonight and not all afternoon and night...
I am going to get off of here now and see what kind of trouble my dogs are getting into once again and what wind they are going to go chance or bark at outside...
Good Night and God Bless everyone out there in blogland...

More of the Bull Saga
last night the owner of Ricky the bull came out and tied him to a truck so he can graze. But around 1 am he decided he didn't like where he was tied too and broke loose. My daughter Jessica tried to wake us up, but we didn't wake up.
So this morning around 8 am,by our bedroom window low and behold, there was Ricky the bull Mooing, lol. My husband jumps out of bed like a madman and goes to round up the bull and get him in his pen. Now I am regretting not getting up to watch the cow chance Chuck down to get the carrots and apple my husband had in his hand, lol. We are very happy that Jen and Scott brought out the carrots and apples yesterday, lol. Little did we know we would have to bribe the bull with them. Chuck came back to the house and looked like he had a heck of a workout with that bull, lol. Where is a camera when I need one.
But other than that, nothing much is happening. Pastor Dean and Ruth stopped by and looked at the place and went to see the bull, chickens and pig. I think Dean had bacon and ham on his mind when looking at the pig, lol.
JJ and I planted pretty flowers in my pots today and that was interesting to say the least. He got bored and I ended up planting most of them.

What the Hay

Ok... Now as some of you may know. we have this Bull on our property. I look out the back window and see this poor cow sitting in his pen all alone. We don't own him, but there are days I would like to tell the bull(Ricky) to run free. I know in my heart what will happen to him and the owner says it is too expensive to feed him. But he has been without hay for a week, so we have been feeding him the weeds that are around our house. Weeds that a bull would normally graze on. But what the hay? If I had a truck I would get him some hay. I feel bad for poor Ricky the Bull.
Other then that life on the farm has been kinda crazy. I planted our lawn today... Alot of Ricky's droppings are all over my front yard, thanks to Scott. I really appreicated his help and I am sure Ricky liked that his pen was cleaned out. So hopefully the grass will grow and will be pretty. And then I want to go get some pretty flowers at Star Nursery. I need to pot some flowers. Oh, and here is another little surprise on the literal farmville. Last night Jessica went into the garage and found out that a stray cat had her kittens in there. They sound really young. So we get to go searching for kitties this weekend and hoefully trap them and find them a home so they don't become wild.
So to sum it up... Life on the farm is good, but what a mess at times when you have to deal with bull crap :) Sorry about the pun... Couldn't help myself
