Thanksgiving is Coming- What am I Thankful for?

You know there are alot of days that I don't really think that I am very thankful for things I have or don't have... I get a bit of an UN-Christian attitude when it comes to certain things in my life... Like when I don't have the money or time to go where I want and when I want. Or I get a tad bit upset when things do not go my way and I can tell anyone that I am not very thankful for those times... I'm not thankful for the days I am sick and just don't feel like getting out of bed... When thinking about all the things I'm not thankful for or happy about, I must think about the flip side of things... What are some of the things I am thankful for? That is a very long list...

First and foremost I am thankful that I am able to worship God without the fear of being put to death... In the news the other day, they were talking about this poor woman who will be put to death because she is a Christian and she put down Buddism. You can read more real life stories like this on Voice of the Martyrs.

I am thankful for my family... When I look around many families aren't as blessed... I see so many kids who have hatred for one family member or another... I get upset at mine, but there has never been that kind of hatred and my kids and grandkids are the best... My husband is a bit grumpy, but then so am I... So I guess that is ok :)

I am thankful for some of the times God said no... I would think something was a great thing at the time and then come to find out later on that if that great thing would have turned into a catastrophe... I get upset when God says no, but I guess it is for my own good... Atleast that's what I tell myself after the fact.

I am thankful for the best friends in the world... I have friends that are there when needed and I hope I am a good friend in turn... I have friends that are willing to chase the bull, make trips out of the way and listen when I want to grip. And let me tell you, that is often...

I am thankful for my dogs, even when they don't listen and make an ooops on the floor... They love unconditionally and are always there.

I am thankful for the Phoenix Suns... They give me something to take my anger out on, like the San Antonio Spurs and The Lakers... Ughhh are those fighting words...

There are many things I am thankful for that is just to numerous to mention or write down. But that you God for all that you have given and for those people you have put in my life.

Dogs R Gonna Get It

Ok... for all you animal lovers out there, you may not want to read this... My dogs(love them dearly)... But my dogs decided they wanted to stay up ALL NIGHT and play, drink and pee... I was not a very impressed person over this since they finally stopped doing that around 6am... Usually we pull the water up at night, but for some odd reason someone around my house decided that they didn't need water during the day, but at night... Wondering who I should shoot right now... I don't think it is the dogs fault. It's not like they can reach the sink, grab a glass and get water from the faucet. So thus, I ended up sleeping till 1pm.

Now I am gonna vent on how sometimes you just get SICK SICK SICK of people repeating sensless garbage over and over again... I heard the first time, I don't need to listen to the same thing that does not matter one ioda to anyone but this one person... SOOOOOOOOOO,I am gonna leave this thought right there where I started it off at...

Another thought, kinda stupid one though... Don't watch the movie 'The Invention of Lying". its totally not worth the time they spent on even naming the movie... but I am going to go now and may or may not post something later on. Depends on how I feel about whatever may or may not happen.

Some People Should Never Get Pets

Today I was over at the Ivin's Animal Shelter to list Bonnie aka Nellie. She is a boxer that we are fostering right now. BTW, if you are wanting a very sweet girl, she is one for you. She is adorable, Just ask me for her Bio.

But while I was over there, Robyn was showing me these two make boxers that someone abandoned in a house and moved. They locked them in there with a cat. These dogs are gorgeous, house trained, extremely cute and sweet. One of them is a black boxer. He is a goof. But he looks like he is 4 yrs old and the other is like 2. But it gets me how people can do this to animals. If they can't take care of them. Don't abandon them like that. Call someone to help out. There are many animal lovers and groups that can help. I just don't get it at all. I would have brought these two boys home with me if it wasn't for Maverick not liking other make dogs.

It makes me sick...

I just can't beleive how people treat thier pets. I help try to find forever homes for animals that are about to loose thier lives, because thier owners won't take care of them. They disguard them and throw them out like they are trash.

I just can't imagine doing that to my Maverick and Madison. How can you look into the eyes of your pets and tell them they are nothing. I use to watch animal precint and it just got so sad to see how these animals are beaten, starved, kicked and killed. I think that every person should be treated that same way if they do it to an animal. They should get a real lesson on how it feels to be treated in such a humane manner. I am glad to know that the law is making it a felony to abuse animals.

If you are looking for a loving pet, go to your local animal shelter and save a life. If you don't want to be a responsible owner, then don't get one... But you can still help by finacially supporting your local shelter.

My dog Madison was turned into a shelter that kills animals when they are no longer wanted. We adopted her from Almost Home Boxer Rescue in Arizona. I thank God that someone saw her there and picked her up. It angers me that people throw these animals away like they do... She is a pure joy and loves to be loved and cuddled. You can save a life by adopting dogs and cats from your local shelter or animal rescue. Most pet stores purchase thier animals for puppy mills. The only way to close them down is by not buying them, then the demand goes down... Save a Life for Petes Sake... Or Even Madisons Sake...

On A More Positive Note

I am very blessed to have Jesus in my life.God has blessed me with my wonderful daughters, son in laws, 4 wonderful and the worlds cutest grandsons. He has blessed me with great friends and a very supportive church family. He has blessed me by putting some of His best friends, my dogs into my life. He has blessed me each day I wake up and hear the birds singing. Even though I don't knwo how to see the blessing of spiders and snakes. Those two aren't in my book of blessings at this very moment. He has blessed me with the ability to talk to people from all over the world and get to know those I never would have the opportunity to get to know and call friends. WOW, when you think about it, I am very blessed. Share with us how blessed you are.

Now go out and have a blessed Jesus filled day and week....
